1. What is a stretchy wrap?
A stretchy wrap is a long piece of fabric made from 100% cotton. It is knitted rather than woven, which makes it elastic, soft, and easy to adjust. This flexibility helps achieve a snug fit and proper support for your baby.
Key features:
- Soft and stretchy – adapts naturally to the baby’s and wearer’s body
- Easier to tighten and adjust than a woven wrap, especially for beginners
- Recommended mainly for smaller babies (up to approx. 10 kg)
2. Who is a stretchy wrap suitable for?
Newborns and young infants (up to approx. 10 kg)
During the early months, the stretchy wrap gently supports the baby’s body and provides a sense of security and closeness.
New parents
Thanks to its simple tying technique, it is well suited for parents who are new to babywearing. It helps practice correct positioning and build confidence.
3. How to choose a good stretchy wrap?
Material
Made from 100% cotton, which is natural, breathable, and gentle on baby’s skin.
Length
The standard 5-meter length is universal and fits most body types.
Elasticity and durability
A good stretchy wrap should stretch mainly widthwise to ensure proper support and prevent excessive stretching over time.
As your baby grows and becomes heavier, you may later consider switching to a woven wrap or an ergonomic baby carrier. Until then, enjoy the comfort and closeness that the Misty Grey stretchy wrap offers every day.
